Keep your bike in good condition

Safety riding is not just about riding safely, it’s also about making sure your bike is in good condition and is fit for riding. It is wise to do a regular health check-up for your bike.

Some things to check:

  • Check tyres for any cracks, signs of wear and tear
  • Look for signs of oil or gas leaks under the motorcycle
  • Make sure all the lights are functioning properly – headlight, taillight & signal light
  • Check the levels of the Hydraulic and Coolant fluids
  • Make sure the clutch and throttle and in good working condition
  • Make sure the side mirrors are clean
  • Test the horns and the brakes
  • Consider attaching a reflective tape to your bike to make it easier for others to see you if you are riding in the night
