Safety riding is not just about riding safely, it’s also about making sure your bike is in good condition and is fit for riding. It is wise to do a regular health check-up for your bike.
Some things to check:
- Check tyres for any cracks, signs of wear and tear
- Look for signs of oil or gas leaks under the motorcycle
- Make sure all the lights are functioning properly – headlight, taillight & signal light
- Check the levels of the Hydraulic and Coolant fluids
- Make sure the clutch and throttle and in good working condition
- Make sure the side mirrors are clean
- Test the horns and the brakes
- Consider attaching a reflective tape to your bike to make it easier for others to see you if you are riding in the night
